Illiberal Policies Undermine Society

There’s an odd, bitter-bitter-sweet reality becoming evident with the liberal policies that have confounded and ham-strung our American social structure for decades. At a time when communities are having to lay off law enforcement members because of over-liberal state and federal spending and entitlement policies, now 46,000 prisoners will be back on the street in California while liberal California lawmakers are trying to pass laws that will curtail Californian’s right to buy and own weapons and ammunition. Liberal disregard for common sense, tried and trued social conventions and policies just compounds one foolish idea upon another resulting in social disorder. When will we turn the bend?

Illiberal – Wikipedia

An illiberal democracy, also called a pseudo democracy, partial democracy, low intensity democracy, empty democracy, hybrid regime or delegative democracy,[1] is a governing system in which, although elections take place, citizens are cut off from knowledge about the activities of those who exercise real power because of the lack of civil liberties. It is not an ‘open society’. This may be because a constitution limiting government powers exists, but its liberties are ignored, or because an adequate legal constitutional framework of liberties does not exist.
